    I'm an F.
I love movies in general, it just puts you in this great mood after you've seen them. "Makes you dream". if I could, I'd just live in a movie theater.
I hate gore, horror, and overly cheesy.
    Otherwise, open to all.

Don't like musicals, most horror movies and action movies that much. Apart from that I like a lot of stuff. Like Wonkavision, I'm definitely a fan of arthouse flicks.

I am trying to remember my favorite movie.

I'm coming up with a blank.

I do in fact think that there is a type correlation. Almost all F types hate horror.

At a certain point 'horror' becomes gratuitous violence, it seems. I mean there's a helluva gap between The Shining and Saw.

That's what I meant, the gratuitous violence. I enjoy the horror that isn't like that, but no F had said they they like that, and most of them said they dislike it.

I don't like gratuitous violence either.

At first it disgusts, but then it desensitizes. You know, it starts to seem like The Black Knight from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. I don't really see what place it has in horror. It's just not scary.

It's more along the lines of how you feel about it. I for one don't like it because it's downright disturbing to me, not because it has no taste (which seems to be what T types think).

*shrug* If I'm wrong then that's fine, I just notice these differences between my T and F friends.

You're not alone. I hate them too.

As for my personal tastes, I really enjoy war films. Sure, there's plenty of violence and gore, but it's treated in a far more serious manner than in slasher films. Also in the usual context, there's more meaning behind the violence too - ie you're fighting for your country.

With slasher/horror films, the violence is treated with much more trivality.

I also enjoy historical films, especially those set in the 19th century.
