Extroverts think and do outside. Introverts think and do inside. That's the main difference. Introverts are not deeper, they're just more subjective by virtue of remaining 'inside'.

yeah...introverts don't just sit in a quiet room and think do they? i mean...don't they do the same thing...just maybe not feel that need to share their thoughts as often as we do...or want to brainstorm them like we do...but they're still doing it while doing something else...right?
There can’t be any large-scale revolution until there’s a personal revolution, on an individual level. It’s got to happen inside first.

Well. By "inside" I meant inside their own precious little heads.

I can't imagine calling someone "just because", I need a practical reason.

That's because you, like most introverts, live inside a spaceship made of flesh and bone.

not quite. i think it is a matter of what draws our interest, and i am proportionately more interested in my own thoughts than what's going on around me, although i am often scanning my environment for information.

i dont think extroverts dislike being alone for solely for loneliness'-sake, i would guess a lot of it is boredom. if you are, for the most part, interested in what's going on with the people and things around you, being alone would lead such a person to conclude there is nothing interesting going on!

it follows that it is advantageous to people as they get older to focus on the opposite end of the spectrum... for introverts, having mastered their own minds, to develop interest in other people and things, for extroverts, to enrich their inner world

Yes, the moon in your head. The one that does not actually exist.
