I usually don't sing in the shower, but I was in a real echoey little train station by myself the other day and found myself doing some phrases of "Wicked Game".

In the shower I go for the straight ballads. Michael Bolton, Journey, Whitney Houston, Boyz II Men....

Doesn't mean I like that music though. But with shower acoustics, it just works.

I sing everywhere. "Everyday Is Like Sunday" by Morrissey has been common recently.

I also sing a lot of Incubus in the shower. And I echo Ajblaise's sentiment with the ballads. Shower acoustics make it happen.

I'm told that I used to sing Mamas and the Papas songs like "Monday Monday" in the shower...and everywhere else too.

I thought singing in shower was a myth.

They are? Disgusting! I take my singing seriously! :steam:

There are many places I sing in when I am alone, but not in shower. I think it is a bit too intense as the voice bounces back from the walls. I've been singing "Whiskey in a Jar" and "Phantom of the Opera" quite a lot (yeah, I sing it with two voices, the female very high-pitched).

As already suggested, the unique acoustic properties provided by the bathroom are very interesting -especially thanks to ceramic tiles- ... and often tempting to experiment... since you can have specific resonance frequencies (that's the architect speaking).

Thus, I often try some melody while I'm there... But so far, I prefer to hum Bach's art of the fugue variations... It provides a wider array of experimentation, because the basic theme is very cleverly constructed, and use subtle inner resonances and permutations as well. If you have an "acoustic node" within your bathroom, it's the easier way to discover its precise location.
