I honestly think that I have at least one thing in common with every poster on here. The amount varies, but we all have so many interests, there is overlap.

We have overlapping music tastes, but the feeling is mutual, believe me.

Hmmm... See, I wouldn't even think of something like musical taste as being relevant for inclusion.

Oh, but musical taste is very inclusive! I won't date someone who doesn't "get" my love for the Clash or even me being Southern. It's a big deal. Someone doesn't like your taste in music and it's over.

    I don't do that.

The day I find a girl with cool musical taste (by my standards of course) is the day I'm settling down. Unfortunately(thankfully?) I'm all over the place when it comes to music.

Still, that would explain a lot.

I'm pretty much with Sponge-man on this one. I simply don't really identify with music much (although intellectually, I know that many people - probably most people, do). Not that I don't *like* music - I do - but my tastes are sort of... sparse and varied, and I'm pretty superficial about it... I can only rarely understand lyrics, for instance, so I simply miss out on a lot of what impacts people. I wouldn't really consider it consistent or predictive enough a characteristic to tell me much. Some people I really like enjoy music I don't - and vice versa. Now *books*, on the other hand...totally different story! So I guess I understand the principle of caring about musical preferences - if you cast it in the light of being similar to books .
