Gah I really don't like my name but I'm going to have to live with it because I can't really see myself with a normal name
Ikram Aiden (I actually like my middle name, at least people can pronounce it!)
Ikram is the arabic word for Honorable and my mom picked it out on a whim, I had no real name for about 16 days after my birth because my parents fought over what to name me, my mom wanted to name me Farida but my dad refused because he had a grudge against someone named Farida, my dad wanted to name me after my grandma...which would have gotten me teased an awful lot O_O sooo in retrospect I'm lucky my mom chose this name.
Pretty name; my non-English speaking grandmother insisted on having my youngest brother named with a particular Arabic/Somali name. She was quietly told it wouldn't work and, after refusing to budge, was then told what the name meant in English. She quickly changed her mind.
