    Thumbs up Show your watches

    Or at least describe them.
    I wear tasty analogous ones with black fittings.

    (maybe we'll find interesting correlations eventually)

    I like digital watches with good size displays and backlight.

    I'll second that. ^

    The timepiece I have is waterproof (NOT "water resistant") and is fully loaded with features that I will probably never use.

    And it lets off a series of annnoying beeps at noon everyday until I press the stop button. And if I don't stop it, it will stop itself and go off again in five minutes.

    I have a few watches, but my favorite is an Ironman Triathlon. I actually think it's the womens' model, but I love it anyway. It's like this, but neon green, not blue. (see Fig. 1)

    Anyway, I got it because it has a COUNTDOWN TIMER, which I desperately needed for my experiments, and unlike 99% of men's watches today, it's not the size of a Buffalo. Plus, it's green. Who doesn't like green?

    Also, the interface is very intuitive, and it doesn't have any weird features that I'll never use (like an altimeter... who the fuck needs an altimeter?). Overall, I think it's pretty much the best watch ever designed.

    Probably a cautious/curious person who travels by plane a lot. I wouldn't be concerned with it, though.

    I've had two watches in the past (both gifts) that had/have altimeters... and neither one works. The barometer is kinda nifty, but you can get more information from simply looking at the sky.

    Here you go: Ed's Corner: Casio G-Shock MTG-900 Review

    I like:

    * Multiple time zones.
    * Syncs up every night with NOA observatory so my watch is always on official time.
    * 5 alarms. I use 2.
    * Tilt-activated backlight.
    * Solar powered. Though this can be annoying if you need to charge it for some reason. I usually leave mine on the dashboard of my car every once in a while.

    Do you mean a cellular phone, or one that sits on your desk?
