    This, dear readers, is an example of a good New Zealander;

    Ah, a wise man. Throw some sliced onions on that toast and I'm in.

    Toast with vegemite and thinly sliced tomato, seasoned with plenty of freshly cracked pepper. Don't knock it til you've tried it.

    And yeah, it's true that it's getting harder to find an American who's never been warned about vegemite before setting foot on these unhallowed shores. They probably have an entry about it in Lonely Planet these days. So 9 times out of 10 you have to rely on macabre curiosity rather than naive trust to get them to try it.

    I'll try it! I'm one of those naive Americans! I have no idea what it is. Although I have heard of marmite. No real idea what that is either. Foreigners, send me your food!

    Marmite and Vegemite are almost the same. Marmite is a little saltier.

    Give me your address and I'll send you a tube under the condition we get a photo of your facial expression after tasting it

    I think British Marmite is different to the NZ stuff though, worse to be specific.

    Some bastards have been talking about drop bears far too openly too. Makes me sad.
