That's more like it, there are more Perth dwellers on the forum now, or at least somewhere WAish.

Smile Springing into Summer and Falling into Winter

Antartica is reaching out tonight. After a lovely sunny Spring day, the cold fingers of Antarctica are feeling around us in Canberra tonight.

But with a down jacket, a woollen beanie and a full tummy, I am enjoying her caress.

And Spring is in the offing. A green mist is filling the trees and Canberra is transformed.

And rain has been falling and falling and filling our dams.

And while our cousins are falling into winter, we are springing into summer.

Adelaide is currently at the mercy of her icy caress, it would be nice if work had heating....

    Smile Deep on Sunday Night

It's deep on a Sunday night and if I didn't know better I would think Canberra had come to a stop.

And although the four lane highways stretch lit into the distance, gloriously empty, the duty officers keep the lamps burning.

You see them coming and going at the all night service station and you can see the lights burning in their offices.

And while we are tucked up in bed, they keep watch over a sleeping city waiting for the Sun to come booming up out of the East and fill our four lane highways with brand new cars.

Or if the fancy takes you, you can walk to work around the lake, pausing perhaps for coffee and to read the newspaper.

The city breaths and resonates, slowing at night, and up tempo at day. It swings along with the seasons, the Sun and the Moon. Summer never leaves the planet, Summer merely visits us for a season, leaving winter behind.

We look after the Sun for you every day, and we look after Summer for you once a year.

Notices this now, that would be awesome. My dream of a Perth gathering can start manifesting. Yay for Perth.
    I'm up for it.
