What really annoys me is when fashion is not even efficient... Why do people walk around all the time with their pants ready to fall down to their ankles? Or stick studs through their tongues that interfere with speaking/eating?

What a pain to deal with.

Oh yes the MC Hammer trouser... not my thing but um I know what you mean. As for the falling pants I find it odd, it's quite common here with the young boys, and has been for quite a while. I keep waiting for fashion to pull them back up again but alas no.

I can handle the slightly lowered pants especially if there are actually abs to be seen with the lowering of said pants. But for the most part it's taken to the extreme and look ridiculous.

That being said I still don't think that woman had any right to question your clothing choice.

I keep thinking of the Shakespearian meaning of "got" when I read the title of this thread.
“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.”

I used to tight-roll my pant legs back in junior high...
"We grow up thinking that beliefs are something to be proud of, but they're really nothing but opinions one refuses to reconsider. Beliefs are easy. The stronger your beliefs are, the less open you are to growth and wisdom, because "strength of belief" is only the intensity with which you resist questioning yourself. As soon as you are proud of a belief, as soon as you think it adds something to who you are, then you've made it a part of your ego."

I don't like pants THAT low, but I do like low pants on guys. I have no need to see you buttcrack. I see some dudes walking around in those skinny jeans which is just as bad to me.
Relationships have normal ebbs and flows. They do not automatically get better and better when the participants learn more and more about each other. Instead, the participants have to work through the tensions of the relationship (the dialectic) while they learn and group themselves and a parties in a relationships. At times the relationships is very open and sharing. Other time, one or both parties to the relationship need their space, or have other concerns, and the relationship is less open. The theory posits that these cycles occur throughout the life of the relationship as the persons try to balance their needs for privacy and open relationship.

I tried tight-rolling (pegging, I think they called it around these parts) my jeans, but I just couldn't get them to feel right or stay put, so I gave up. I had to wear skirts to school anyway, so we all looked like pastel, big-haired, late eighties dorks. All the time I wasted on my hair and face . . . *sigh*
