Yeah I guess my answer is "who really cares" But I do like the answer I came up with after years of thinking about it. How scary is that.

INTP: "The glass is full. Approximately half with water, and approximately half with air."

    Non-mind-boggling-answer: I always thinking half-full

Mind-boggling-answer: Given that the glass is not a limited set, meaning that there's no definite upper bound, it's always more empty than full (but not half-empy).

*reads the stuff on the linked page*
INTJ -- Yes, that glass will be the flivvium container.
INTJ - How can you say it's half-full? It's half-empty! I refuse to listen to your reasoning!
One - It's half empty, because I say it is and I'm always right!
Eight - It's half-empty...so fill it up NOW before I have to break your neck!!!
You know, I just realized I should retake my Eneagram tests. Because they all say I would think it is half empty. :rolleyes2:

    I need to diagram this.
    Best answer ever, compliments.

And on a serious note: I always think the glass is half FULL, unless - and I am a realist - there is really no way that it is. But I do like to think that it is at first, meaning I always try to see the good somehow.

Really though, I say half-full, and it has nothing to do with optimism versus pessimism. Most of the people around me say half-full, so that's what I got used to saying, plus, half-full is one less syllable!

Efficiency of language. Interesting method, I've done that as well.

I normally say that it's twice as big as it needs to be.
