Well, don't get me wrong. I know what he did and what he stands for etc. But I was just wondering about how officially this day gets celebrated. Because I always did hear my american friends talk about stuff like Christmas, Halloween, Easter, Thanksgiving or whatever. But I have never heard "Oh, happy MLK Day". This is why I ask.
Rule #1: Driver picks the music. Shotgun shuts his cakehole.

Again, Demons I get, but people are just crazy.

Some people celebrate, but it's usually a low key celebration. It's more like a memorial day type of thing. We reflect on the significance more than anything, I think. It's a national holiday so we do get the day off work. I like to watch the documentaries and the movie and stuff like that.

I know some people who celebrate MLK day but probably not in a fashion that would be approved of by the vast majority of people. I don't do anything, though.

Well not necessarily just race alone. For example, if I normally would handle a tense situation with a particular person by "blowing up" in someone's face, bringing to light all of our differences, or generally speaking just being confrontational...........

I might do things a little differently today. I might even try to contact those I am not on good terms with and patch things up. Anyway, I basically try to make today's concept sort of expansive.

I will honor Dr. King's legacy by fighting to see that his holiday becomes entrenched enough that I finally, one time, get the day off! I SHALL OVERCOME!
