    Default What makes a woman?

Ok guys, your turn to dish it out.

Is it junk in the trunk, or a hungry heart?

    Have fun.

From the male side: the cliches are all true. We want the angel, the madonna, in our hearts, and the devil's daughter in our bed ...

Beyond that, I myself am overwhelmingly attracted to brains, vision, confidence, compassion, self-respect and honesty.

I personally want that shy nerdy girl next door who is smart and capable of taking care of herself but also likes having me around to kill the spiders and such.

As I said in the other thread:

There are as many definitions than there are women on earth.

This thread is supposed to define stereotypical gender roles, so I'd say the references used are rather cultural. And as you may be aware of it (or not), most cultural references are in fact arbitrary.

    So, what makes a woman?

    Anything that works!

Women are the earthly creators, producers and nurturers of life. That's a pretty heavy responsibility.

My definition of woman is someone who alligns herself with all that is positive, strong and growth-oriented.

Well, women have uteri. They must create - more than just children.

They have breasts. They must nuture - more than just children.

They have interesting brains. They must connect - with more than just children.

Something about women gives me a sense of deep, deep power. I have a gut feeling that they are meant to be creator and destroyer.

Something about power dynamics gives me a sense of OVERWHELMING knowledge... something that bubbles underneath the surface. That, and mother's intuition... (MAMA ALWAYS KNOWS BEST!!!)

Something about sanitary napkins makes me think that women were meant to have wings.

I kill my own spiders, though.
