    That is a delicate question.

And I ask myself, I ask myself - is she in love with me?

    I pine and I pine.

Sometimes I turn tough and say that unrequited love is the only true lasting romance.

But I wait by the computer for her every email.

And I light up like a christmas tree when I have an email from Belle.

But she hasn't written for so long - so I tell myself she is on holidays.

I think I will dump her - I will find someone else - but I know I will never find anyone like Belle.

When I first met her, I wrote her a love poem straight off. And I have been writing her a love poem every since.

Do you think I am silly? Or do you think I can be saved?

If with "feminism" you mean equal rights for women, call it "equalism" instead. The word feminism implies what you quoted about from me.

As for the other part: You clearly don't know what you're talking about.

I'm just now getting home and looking at this thread....

...this is a copout Blue Monday.

You're complete ignoring what Arch is saying......women have a VERY, VERY inconsistent message. This is why many relationship experts say "never listen to what a woman says....watch what she DOES"

Its a numbers game? Really? How so? How is the girl that says I want an honorable man.....then goes home with a 'bad boy' playing a numbers game?

She is doing what is biological: she is attracted on a 'gut' level to the perceived strength of testosterone, manliness, etc......

By the tail of Victor's male bower bird... CLOTHES make the man!

Action and behavior. Man or woman, we all play a role. Act in a manner deemed socially acceptable, then you're a man.

Desperado: one cannot lump all of woman-kind in with one another. I prefer to follow MBTI to get a general consensus of what a group feels rather than what's between their legs. There are also cultural considerations to be made.

Let's just say this: if you're trying to extract a solid line of rhyme or reason from females, and you get gibberish... well then maybe the problem lies with the question/direction rather than the ones it asks.
Practice random kindness and senseless acts of beauty.

I think love is the only salvation.

If you want to know what makes a man, all you have to do is read these few lines of wisdom below from The Big Lebowski. I think they'll answer all your questions.

LEBOWSKI: It's funny. I can look back on a life of achievement, on challenges met, competitors bested, obstacles overcome. I've accomplished more than most men, and without the use of my legs. What... What makes a man, Mr. Lebowski?

    DUDE: Dude.

    LEBOWSKI: Huh?

    DUDE: I don't know, sir.

LEBOWSKI: Is it... is it, being prepared to do the right thing? Whatever the price? Isn't that what makes a man?

DUDE: Sure. That and a pair of testicles.

    You're welcome.

    How true.

    Indeed, clothes make the gentleman.

And even Despereaux the Mouse became a man by declaring himself, against all the odds, to be a gentleman.

And instantly he won the heart of the lady.

But when they ask, are you a man or a mouse?

Just answer, I am a gentleman - and let Despereaux be your guide.
