Fair question. I'll concede that I've come from a deep and misguided Fundamentalist background, and while I don't 'blame' anyone, I do see a lot of inconsistency in 'traditionalist' female behaviors that I find both annoying and revealing ...

You know, maybe that a lot of women do see "a lot of inconsistency in 'traditionalist' male behaviors that they find both annoying and revealing".

Again, fair enough, but in the pre-dating stage of male/female acquaintance, women are the choosers --- so some (certainly not all) inconsistent 'traditionalist' male behaviors are attempts at accommodation, and that inconsistency is then different-in-kind.

Bottom line: women are the choosers, in Stage #1 of the mating sequence, and they often put more thought and effort into shopping for shoes than they do into accurately parsing one man from another in a social setting ...

Recommend that you do a bit of research on that one, since that isn't what is commonly meant. The rest of your post is pants.

Wow, you're ignorant when it comes to women.

I play in a prominent rock band, so I get asked out by women at least half a dozen times a month. But I don't consider that to be part of any meaningful mating sequence ...
