It never occurred to me to worry about my popularity online. One thing I love about he whole anonymous posting thing is that it takes away that kind of pressure.

So if you don't like me on here - too bad! This is the one place where I don't have to care if you like me or not. In real life, I do way too much worrying about that sort of thing.

I am really surprised to see how many people think they are really disliked on here. Be yourself! Be proud of your opinions! Most people will like you if you aren't over-the-top offensive.

There's this great rule I follow in life - the 10% rule. 10% of people will dislike you for no reason. But there will also be 10% of people will like you for no reason. The other 80% will like you if you act like a decent human being. So if someone doesn't like you, don't stress about it, just file them in the 10% drawer.

True. I want to dislike them all on principle but just can't do it.

Last time I voted (a year ago) I chose for 1. Now I'd go for 6. I think people know me better now, but I'm not sure if I'm actually liked.
I was sitting outside the classroom waiting to go in, and I saw an airplane hit the tower. The TV was obviously on. I used to fly myself and I said, "There's one terrible pilot."

If you don't agree about my MBTI type, you can complain about it here. I've had plenty of people telling me I'm something else, in my reputation box. That's annoying.

I put average... I actually have no idea what people think of me.

IMO, most people aren't taking this thread seriously, including and especially myself. Online isn't real life and even in real life, does popularity matter so much? Better to be comfortable in and with yourself.

I wasn't really aware that anyone outside of the regulars on Ventrilo really knew who I was, to be honest. But just in the last week or so I have had a wave of people I don't even know leave me reps, wall messages, or come on vent and tell me that they think I'm funny. One even went so far as to say I'm one of their top 10 favorite members already.

Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Maybe I have miscalculated how well liked I am.
“Everybody has a secret world inside of them. All of the people of the world, I mean everybody. No matter how dull and boring they are on the outside, inside
them they've all got unimaginable, magnificent, wonderful, stupid, amazing worlds. Not just one world. Hundreds of them. Thousands maybe.” -Neil Gaiman
