There's on thing I don't quite get, why is popularity translated into a liked/unliked scale?

It wouldn't be surprised if the majority of the people here had me in their ignore lists. I don't mind. I'm not popular in real life either (my own choice), so why should I be popular here?
I was sitting outside the classroom waiting to go in, and I saw an airplane hit the tower. The TV was obviously on. I used to fly myself and I said, "There's one terrible pilot."

If you don't agree about my MBTI type, you can complain about it here. I've had plenty of people telling me I'm something else, in my reputation box. That's annoying.

That I did wonder as well. But then again, popular has two meanings.

Apparantly you can be popular and unpopular at the same time. How cool is that.

Dude, seriously, self esteem doesn't hurt. And people can read low self esteem all over you.
Look at all the total losers with no qualities what so ever who think they're awesome, act like it. If you act like a peach, people will threat you like a peach.

The ignore function is not what you must be talking about here since it is totally different from being ignored (which is even worse I think.)

Here's a simple example, take some guy/girl who is awesome, smart successful etc.
won't he or she get some dislike from the masses for being so successful and everything? Yes, I really like rethorical questions.
It's that 'cool fat guy' everybody likes, not the really smart and beautiful girl, as the former isn't threatening to one's "socio-sexual" ladder by either being percieved as a potential selector (limiting vertical ascension/status) or/and a competitor

    I'm ignoring you.

...Kat, you're not on my ignore list. I reserve that privilege for the few, the proud, the insane.

That's only true so far. There are also people who are full of themselves and everyone else thinks they are a douche. There is a balance to be had.

Technically Jennifer you made a mistake there by quoting my post and saying I am ignoring you.
