    Most disturbing Martoonatar ever.

We're watching Iron Giant right now, and around sunset we plan to walk down to the Bogue Inlet Pier and watch some kind of cool planetary thing that is supposed to happen tonight. It's not terribly cold--my daughter actually got into the ocean up to about thigh-level earlier today. Maybe it got up to 70 today, I'm not sure. We'll definitely need jackets and shoes tonight though. Then there will probably be some hot tubbing, on a lowish temp so the kids can come in too. After that, the aforementioned nerding out and watching the ball drop. (That sounds dirty, or medical, but it's neither.)

I think this may go down in history as my favoritest New Years ever.

    Default New Years Eve

Watching movie (I hope) on BF's couch with bag of microwave popcorn between us. We'll probably feed most of the popcorn to his bulldog who'll be on the couch with us. A foot rub before or after movie would be icing on the cake. Lastly, maiden voyage of the new bed he built as a surprise while I was in the hospital, though it'll be a rather boring voyage due to fractured shoulder. Tomorrow we'll wake up together for the first time. May be a horrid surprise, but I'm willing to take the risk.
    It's a blessing...and a curse.

I'm not psyched about New Years at all this year. I've been half-debating going out tonight, but whenever I half-debate going out my introversion wins.

Going to a bar/club around 8 and then watching the fireworks from the top of a building. The only thing I'll be missing is a proper New Year's kiss.

Sitting, lol. I'm not into partying, or celebrating anything that doesn't have to do with anything. I know already that 2009 is going to suck for me, lol.

We had a quiet dinner and wine with friends.

Nothin' special - regular old night sort of stuff. A little reading, watching a DVD maybe, and probably in bed by 11 or so. And then turning into the neighborhood anti-whisting firework vigilante if I get woken up (get off my lawn, whippersnappers!) - just kidding . Hopefully just a relaxing evening .

I'm going to throw Puff Daddy and Carrot Top out when they crash my party.
