Default Superman's critique on the human race?

I was watching kill bill last night (because I've always fallen asleep at the very end), and when Bill and Black mamba were having their last chat, he said:

As you know, l'm quite keen on comic books. Especially the ones about superheroes. I find the whole mythology surrounding superheroes fascinating. Take my favorite superhero, Superman. Not a great comic book. Not particularly well-drawn. But the mythology... The mythology is not only great, it's unique. Now, a staple of the superhero mythology is, there's the superhero and there's the alter ego. Batman is actually Bruce Wayne, Spider-Man is actually Peter Parker. When that character wakes up in the morning, he's Peter Parker. He has to put on a costume to become Spider-Man. And it is in that characteristic Superman stands alone. Superman didn't become Superman. Superman was born Superman. When Superman wakes up in the morning, he's Superman. His alter ego is Clark Kent. His outfit with the big red "S", that's the blanket he was wrapped in as a baby when the Kents found him. Those are his clothes. What Kent wears - the glasses, the business suit - that's the costume. That's the costume Superman wears to blend in with us. Clark Kent is how Superman views us. And what are the characteristics of Clark Kent. He's weak... he's unsure of himself... he's a coward. Clark Kent is Superman's critique on the whole human race. Sorta like Beatrix Kiddo and Mrs. Tommy Plimpton.
And the part in bold sort of struck me as being wrong.

I mean the whole point of Clark kent is less about fitting in, than it is about being so non descript that no one ever really remembers him, so that they can't make the connection from Kent to superman.

I don't see it as his critique on the human race, just his critique on what it takes to hide out in the human race.

    What do you think?

Agree. The intent was to make Kent so different that no one would realize they're the same person.

Good and apt video silently honest, made me realise how frustrating life here would be for superman (because he IS real you know ).

I've always wondered though, the Clark Kent of the original movies, and the Clark kent of the series smallville, seem to be completely opposite.

Original Clark kent really was a bumbling don't fit in sort of person, and the new and improved one is hardly like him at all.

I wonder what type the two differing Clark Kents are.

It is really easy to see how this interpretation could come about.
As people, we all have our insecurities, whether we want to show them or not.

However, I don't think that was the intent.
I agree with others here on what the actual intent was.
However, more than one interpretation can be correct and I think it's valid.
