Default Thinking of joining the army

This morning, I talked to my mom and she was telling me to just go for it, if I really want to. And I've really thought about this, however I don't really know if I'm making the right choice. I think I need encouragement. I'm only a step away on my application form I've filled it in and I only have to submit it.

I've also taken the army pathfinder test - my color came out as Amber

This probably shouldn't make a difference, but whose army are you looking to join?

If it's the British army your planning on joining, then NO. You have to feel loyalty which you may find you will have conflict with.

I can give loyalty, I don't have religious issues, at the end of the day I am stopping evil on the earth from spreading. I actually think after the training, I'd love to be in a real battle zone. I love the thrill, and fear. And plus the guns.

Joining the army may put you in the position of taking up arms to oppose jihad, in the tradition of Richard the Lion-Hearted, Jan Sobieski, and Charles Martel (First Crusade, Siege of Vienna, and Battle of Tours, respectively). You'll also be working to support the US and, by extension, Israel.

Are you certain that's not a problem?

You'll want to make as sure as possible that the parts of this paragraph are actually true (including the "stoppin evil", "i love the thrill, and fear", "be in a real battle zone".) If these do seem to apply, than I guess there isn't a reason not to. However, someone else with more military experience can be more helpful with you.

Its not opposing Jihad. What Bin Laden, and the Iraqis are doing is not a Jihad. Killing innocents using woman and children as shields is not a Jihad, its a disgrace.

It is haram to fight against a muslim brother, especially in aid of a kuffar nation, remember, help your brother wether he is the oppressed or the oppressor.
