It's a Gerber Mark II fighting knife. They've been out of production since 1997, back in this year. I bid a couple up to like $250 on ebay a year or two ago, but didn't win.

Everything was pretty good. ^_^ I got 20 bucks cash, a 20 dollar B&N gift card, a foot spa, a new robe, and two harajuku fragrances.

My sister got a cashmere sweater, three jewelry sets, a Marliyn Monroe and James Dean poster, 4 t-shirts, a digital camera and accessories for said camera, and a Jamba Juice gift card.

My youngest sister got an x-box 360 and accessories and games for it and some jewelry.

After being smacked around all year, none of us in my small family are doing Christmas. I think it upset/disheartened my INFJ father when I said something about "canceling" Christmas because we all had to pare down even more than before and be very very practical until we were safe again. I get anxious when we spend on things we "want" when we're in such a hole.

Dad bought me a book about Shattner (lol! - that should be interesting...) and I've been trying to hunt him up something really cool, like a vintage picture of the rail-line that runs past his house. He likes trains. I love the big husky steam engines with their Frankenstein rivets. He can hang it up in his house.

I have deeply conflicting feelings about Christmas, but I won't be a Scrooge. I truly hope everyone enjoys their holiday to the very last minute. Safe travels and good eatin', y'all!

I did get something for my parents though. Some very expensive and amazingly tasty basil olive oil & balsamic vinegar from O&CO Mediterranean Food Merchant.

My dad is the kind of person that will get mad if you buy anything for him, but I am not having any of that this year. If I have to, I will give him his gift and run before I can experience his reaction.

    I never understood it.

What's the point of getting stuff from others but also having to give stuff?

Why not go to the store and get whatever you want yourself? And the other person could get whatever he wants himself.

It's a lot more practical that way.
