Default Are you a bath person or a shower person?

I love my baths, and always make a big fuss over them. Tonight I shall be using one of those bath bombs, strawberry scented with rose petals inside it, that float on the water when it dissolves.

I shall have candles and music in the background.

Most of my baths are like this.

Yet showers seem so boring, and I never feel as clean (completely illogical I know as showers are the cleaner and greener way to go) then when I have a long soak.

I live for my baths, come the evening, it;s like a ritual.

So, bath person or shower person?

I couldn't take a bath if I wanted to. I just have a shower stall.

The soaking of a bath can provide a deeper cleaning, but then sitting in the dirt and oils can leave the surface of the skin dirtier than a shower. To get as clean as possible, you would want to bathe, then take a quick shower.

Oh yeah I do that, I use the shower head for a last rinse off, need to to get the oils out of my hair.

The first flat I ever had when I lived alone only had a shower, I was gutted, promised myself I would never ever live somewhere like that again.

Y'know there is nothing like a hot shower on a cold early morning or after a work out. Or a nice cool shower on a hot day... I like my showers yes that I do...

But that being said there is something about having my soaker tub filled to the top (I can almost float in it) and bubbles oh yes bubbles a cup of tea/wine or coffee candles and my sudoku puzzles..... yes I too like my baths after a long stressful day or even in the middle of the day to warm up...

    I'm sorry I can't decide... I can't chose nope I can't ..... lol ....

It's too hard to read in the shower.
“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.”

Exactly! Most of the books I read are consumed in the bath, maybe with a glass of wine, and a couple of candles. Sure it's decadent, but there is enough of life where we are surrounded by irritating other humans, that a little cave to retreat to is quite delightful

When I was growing up, we only had an iron claw-footed bathtub, so a bath is all that I could have.

When I got older and left home, I preferred showers. I get cleaner (I can actually get all the soap out of my hair) and the shower is quicker.

But what I love to do is fill the tub with water so hot I can barely stand it... then read books. I have not done that for a long time, I'd forgotten. I used to do it a great deal when I was younger. (Maybe it's time to pick up an old tradition again...!)
