I liked cats more when I was a kid and I had some bad experiences with dogs, but now I love my family's cocker spaniel more than any cat. The worst dogs may be worse than the worst cats, but the best dogs are more fun and useful than the best cats. Dogs are also more intelligent and interesting, overall.

I do have to say that you never see a seeing-eye cat or a police cat, lol.
I think dogs do have a higher capacity to learn and retain information.
I think there are different types of intelligences too and am not saying that cats are inferior. Honestly though- I think dogs retain more and longer and learn faster.

I am an introvert and yes, I prefer cats over dogs. However, as a completely unrelated comment (cat owners will understand) have you ever noticed that a cat, only a foot tall, always has their ass in your face? XD

Hahaha, nice. I'm Asian, so I've always gotten these stupid jokes tossed at me about how we eat dogs and cats and anything else on four legs.

For the record, I'm strongly introverted and a dog person. Dogs are just really loving, interesting, intelligent, and friendly. Cats, on the other hand, I can't stand. You can't train them to do sh*t, and they are not very interactive at all - might as well take a squirrel into your house as a pet.

...but cat food *does* taste better than dog food...

My vote is bias -- I am allergic to cats, thus I cannot really prefer them.. Though, I love them dearly, I must keep my distance. Dogs, which I love the same as cats, I can be around, thus I prefer dogs.
