Small ones for the day and week, and big ones extending years into the future. My favorite saying when I was a kid was "When I grow up, I'm going to..." and I still am constantly working on my goals, tweaking them a bit and thinking about the best way to achieve them.
Well, what are some of those goals?

    Well, I want/intend to:
Have a good stab at raising a world quality Paint horse stallion and show him myself to a lot of major wins in the cutting and reining disciplines, primarily, and then promote him until he is a very successful sire.
Have a few extremely good mares and produce a few babies a year by the stallion.
Buy about 80+ acres of good grassland with springs/ponds/streams on it. Manage it in a management-intensive grazing style (wikipedia has a good article) and improve it carefully.
Grow a lot of my own food.

I have other personal/relationship type goals, but those are personal.

when you daydream about your life, is it about your future or your past?

Usually about my future. I have been a big daydreamer my whole life, but I realized just recently that all those stories of adventures, etc., that I daydreamed when I was younger were all basically a way for me to explore every possible route I could take in life. In a way I have vicariously experienced a great deal through that and reading. That is one reason why I was able to decide early on what "the big goals" were for me in my life. Now I still do quite a bit of daydreaming, but more about what I hope WILL happen.
