Default Are you Exceedingly Negative Toward People? What your MBTI letters REALLY stand for.

So, my INFJ friend and I were bored and he started joking about writing a song with a title using the initials for his MBTI type.

He decided it would be called, "I Never Feel Jolly."

But with me and my other INFP friend around, this spiralled off into pure nonsense pretty quickly--but some of the ones we made up are really pretty applicable and it's cute! Observe:

    INFJ:
    --I Never Feel Jolly
    --If Not For Justice...

    ENTP:
    --Exceedingly Negative Toward People
    --Emphatically Never The Pacifist

    INTP:
    --Imagines New Thought Patterns
    --I'm Never Too Positive
    --I'm Not Terribly Pleasant

    ENFJ:
    --Extreme Need For Justice

    ISTJ:
    --I Secured The Job
    --Instinctively Shuns The Joke

    ESFP:
    --Everybody Shares Fun Parties
    --Even Sad Fellows Play

    ISFP:
    --I Seldom Feel Petulant
    --I Still Feel Powerless
    --I'm So Fucking Passive (lol)
    --I Start Forum Posts?

    ISFJ:
    --I Should Feel Justified
    --I Stand For Jurisprudence?

ESTJ. oh boy here we go:
    --Excellence Showers The Just
    --Everyone Show Their Justification
    --Everyone Sees Through Jackasses (hah!)
    --Every Soul Thanks Jesus
    --Evil's Slain Through Jesus

    INFP:
    --I Need Friends, Please
    --I Never Failed Philosophy
    --Into Not Feeling Pain
    --I'm Not For Planning

    ENFP:
    --Explosive Need For Playtime
--Extra Narration For Performances (ever notice how ENFPs love to MST3K everything on TV??)
    --Extraordinary New Fun Playmate (teehee)

    INTJ:
    --Invents New Technical Jargon

    ESTP, this one was fun:
    --Excellent Sales Through Promotion
    --Ever Sold That Product?
    --Educated Society: The Problem

    ISTP:

    --I See The Problem
    --It's Simple To Prevail
    --Into Solely The Present
    --Impulses Skew Their Priorities

    ENTJ:
    --Executives Notice These Jobs
    --Engineering New Technological Junctures

    ESFJ:
    --Empathetic Shield From Jerks

What do you guys think? Feel free to suggest more of your own! I think it's fun.

If you ever are a true ENTP, that would mean you've never really developped your tertiary Fe, or else, you would never have written such things about us.

I don't think the majority of ENTPs are "negative towards people", only young or immature ones. We can be bitterly sarcastic, manipulative puppeteers, impressive schemers, but in the end I think we will always remain fascinated by our fellow men or else we wouldn't be true extroverts. Our very nature is always self-contradictory.

Umm, it's a joke? This forum is for "light-hearted general discussion", yeah?

But okay, for the sake of argument: On the contrary; your "true type" is the one that comes most naturally to you without effort. It's certainly possible to train your weaker functions to work more efficiently, but none of this calculated behavior modification has an effect on one's real type. I know at least a couple of people who have, later in life, strongly developed their F functions, and are still consummate ENTPs. Their prime focus is still on logical, impersonal systems analysis and creation, not on creative structuring of interpersonal affairs.

And yes, that fascination with fellow man is exactly what got me interested in MBTI in the first place. But seriously though, this particular post wasn't intended to be taken that seriously. Obviously not all ENTPs are extremely negative toward people; it's just a stereotype for purposes of shallow humor.

It isn't even a stereotype for ENTPs. I think there's something you do not have understood... yet.

Here on Typology-C, I could easily find you an handful of ENTPs which never were "negative towards people". We are playful, impish, even in devilish ways, but that's completely different.

To be funny, your joke has to be accurate somehow. But it isn't.

I rarely play. If I do, it has a purpose and a measurable goal. I resent the smile in your avatar.

Instinctively Shun The Joke sounds like me. Can't tell you how many times I get stares for not caring about a joke or getting it.
