I'm not a picky sleeper. If I'm tired I can pretty much go to bed on command. Not to the level of my INTJ dad though, hes like a robot, out in 2 minutes flat!! I pretty much don't wake up once I'm asleep. Comfort isn't much of a concern. As long as the bottom sheet is somewhat secured and my pillows are in order... I'm good to go.

Besides... I kind of like the act of yanking a duvet, throwing my pillows down and sleeping in defiance. I usually wait until I'm passed the point of mental and physical exhaustion.
My cold, snide, intellectual life is just a veneer, behind which lies the plywood of loneliness.

The only time I really make the bed is when I fold clothes because I fold them on the bed.
Thanks. I will confess that I wouldn't swear by any of it, though. For myself I'd like to figure out the self-making bed. Perhaps a sleeping bag. Blankets always end up on the floor for me, but there is an unusual reason for that.

    Default Making the Bed

I wasn't sure how to vote b/c if it were up to me, the bed would never get made, but I have an SJ aide who makes my bed 5 days/wk. By the end of the weekend, it looks like an eggbeater has under the covers. I hate it by Sunday night, so I'm assuming other people would too and would, therefore, make the bed to avoid the eggbeater effect.
    It's a blessing...and a curse.

I used to NEVER make my bed when I was younger. I would actually make the bed right before I got in it. I mean, the blankets were all crumpled and stuff... I had to smooth them out so I could sleep comfortably!

My husband used to nag me about making the bed. I finally started making the bed every morning when I was about 30 years old.

Sorry, Haight. I just wanted you to lose. Gender equality and wimmin sticking together and all that.

My husband (ESFJ) and I only make the bed if someone is coming over and will be seeing our bedroom for some reason (almost never) or after I finish cleaning the sheets (it gets made up just for the sake of it because everything's being put back on and it's always nice to get into super clean sheets, put together nicely), but other than that, we usually don't "make it up"--it gets left however it was when we got out of it in the morning

Most couples make the bed imo. Most singles, probably not.

Err. If he's nagging, can't he just make the bed?

I got Haight to stop making the bed for a week. For the first two or three nights he was okay. But then when the sheets started getting really messy at the end of the week, he started freaking out. So weird.

    I know the feeling!
Just can't get comfortable in a crumpled bed!
