I have regrets, but those regrets and the emotional burden they place on my shoulders are what have given me the strength and the motivation to change, as well as the unique and enriched world-view which is now mine. Without those mistakes ... the triumphant little moments of my life that seal the door to my past self would simply be another frame in a monotonous, monochromatic motion picture.

If given the chance, would you go back and change something that you regret or would you do things the same because either:

    1) You'd be afraid of changing the present with your meddling
    2) You have come to terms with your mistakes and are at peace with them
    3) You believe they were critical in making you who you currently are today.
    All of the above.

I have regrets, but I wouldn't change the past. If I hadn't made mistakes, I wouldn't know how to avoid them in the future.
