Thread: 90s Nostalgia

The ninties to me were the cola wars, terminator films/craze and the ad with the alien drinking pepsi, Games Master and Joystick Jungle and the gaming scene taking of and registering on TV schedules, science fiction becoming popular again and a bunch of shows, old franchises, attempts to make new ones (nowhere man, earth final conflict, that other one with nostradamus' cantrels and invaders).

Also I remember bottled water hitting the shelves for the first time ever.

Ahh, the rose-coloured glasses of youth. Then cynicism sets in and BAM nostalgia.

Just seems like a natural reaction to changing times and aging. Although the past doesn't seem so great if you're a 90s kid and try SpaghettiO's again today :/

The 90's had the best TV shows!

The 90s were better times. I truly think the country is on a rapid decline, and it will become more noticeable as time goes on. That, or we'll be so immersed in our technological stupor that a lot of us won't even realize it.

    Simpler times indeed.

I try not to get mired in nostalgia, but Animaniacs was awesome (@malachite), and so was Tail Spin and Batman the Animated series. I remember skating out on the rink with Tennessee by Arrested Development playing in my grunge era flannel shirt, using the payphone to call my parents to pick me up afterwards, and I can't help but want it back the way it was.

Here's some 90's nostalgia for you. This was announced earlier this year and will be released in August:

The nineties were the golden years of videogames to me. With classics such as Dune 2 (first RTS of its kind, birth of a great platform), quake (action quake 2 internet multiplayer scene) and other adventure games like the various sierra's quest series that really left an impression on my early teen self.

I don't remember what happened in the 90's outside of my PC screen though.

I still sometimes buy Doc Martens if I'm in the mood.
