I learned today that if I get woken up suddenly and unexpectedly by the cleaners while I am house sitting, I am not going to leave the house like I usually do when they are here for I am far too groggy and ill prepared and long for sleep.

Also, yes, if the bed is comfortable, I can sleep through the sound of vacuum cleaners and things getting knocked around.

I also learned that I slept with a cat in the room after I kicked out the other cat and closed the door. I have no idea where this one had been hiding. Spooky.

And in case anyone accuse me of being a cat hater, I wanted to kick out the cats for their own good because I neede to close and lock the door in case I didn't wake up in time for the cleaners. They showed up early this morning so it was a good decision.

I learned that there are tons of free computer science lectures on YouTube.

Academic Earth - Introduction to Computer Science I
YouTube - Lecture 6: Solving Problems - Richard Buckland UNSW 2008
Free Computer Science Video Lecture Courses - Free Science and Video Lectures Online!
YouTube - Lecture - 1 Introduction to computer graphics
YouTube - Lecture -1 Introduction to Computer Architecture

I recommend the first and second links. The youtube links will take you to a random video with all the other lectures in the series in the "related videos" column
The probability that I was procrastinating when I was typing this post:

    P(posting on TypoC) = 0.2
P(having big assignment due | posting on TypoC) = 0.7

P(posting on TypoC | having big assignment due) = .......

    Eh, I'll finish it later.

I learned that an American brand of peanut butter is Jif. Here, it's a brand of bathroom cleaner.

You have to get out from under the piano before trying to stand up.
