Haha, this is one of the benefits of going to a huge university.

I would probably be the last one to know about it though!

Ooh, I need to be in a Surrealist club! Is there like a local chapter I can join? Or do I just pick up the phone and wait for someone to contact me?

Another good one was a flash mob that showed up as "fans" for an obscure garage band playing late at night at an obscure hole in the wall bar. They even had T-shirts made up and a banner etc. with the band name and "logo" on them.
Lol, that's awesome. I take it the band didn't know anything about this?

OMG, I love that! It may have been even cooler to have some of the people not freeze at first. Just continue walking, then "notice" all the other frozen people along with everyone else, start talking about them, etc. Then one by one have more people start freezing. Make everyone wonder if they're next.

LOL! No, really, I swear, none of them were moving!

Y'know, with the internet, wireless PDAs, bluetooth headsets, GPSs, etc., there are a lot of creative, surreal things you could do with a bunch of people.

If we could get a large enough meetup going sometime, this would be fun to do.

Omg! that IS so awesome! I love when they go into the waltz-like thing. I love how energized and happy it makes everyone, and the part where the old woman seems to hand someone her cane so she can join in. God, and the "I can do the twist song!" Eeee! How do they get so many people doing it, and all of them so in sync?!

That's the most awesome thing ever, Ives.
