Default What kind of hobbies do you have?

I think that alot of people would class my hobbies as VERY boring, so I am looking to try out some new interesting things.

My hobbies as of this moment in life include:

    Reading Fantasy novels
Reading non fiction biographies (all about islam)
    Writing poetry
Writing stories (that never get finished)
    Embroidery
    Making clothes

and chatting in forums that I find interesting.

See, I told you, very boring and not really fufilling me anymore. Hence my desire to see what other things people do in their spare time.

What do you do in your spare time as a personal hobby?

Wha......? You have a zoo, what do you mean? sounds different please tell me more.

I have wanted to learn about origami before, how did you get into that? did you take lessons or just try your hand at it yourself?

I read and/or listen to novels. Fantasy, mystery, sci-fi, legal thrillers, action/adventure/techno-thrillers, classics are right up my alley.

    I hang out here.

I like to fish and camp, but tend to just do both in spurts, normally in the spring and early summer.

I'm sewing again. I'm on quite a binge right now, but I don't know how long that will last. I'm working on garb for to wear to Dagorhir events. It's sort of like SCA, but more laid back.
“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.”

    Thanks for the feedback Cafe.

I have never been fishing, nor have I even had the opportunity, not sure if it's me though, I would have to touch wiggly things that move right? (oddly I am not afraid of nature, just can't stand worms, maggots and wiggly bugs)

I hear from other people who fish that it's nice and relaxing though.

existing here when I'm too tired for anything else but not enough to sleep

I will be adding to the list as time progresses. Tonight I am going to watch some table top strategy to see if I may be able to get into it and I may start playing pen and paper RPGs at the university. What I would probably really like though is to get back into live action role play, but the local selection is too vampire heavy for me. Camping and snowboarding are also on the list for a few things I'll be adding as resources allow.
Dreams are best served manifest and tangible.

I accept no responsibility, what so ever, for the fact that I exist; I do, however, accept full responsibility for what I do while I exist.

Is that like those weekends away where you get to dress up in fantasy based gear and play roles?

I am so going to try snow boarding at some stage in the next 12 months, my friend is an avid boarder and she is dragging me off with her as soon as we can find the time.

Oh and what is a table top strategy, as my mind is in the gutter and has made something out of that statement that I'm sure wasn't your intention?

Trying new alcohol is a hobby?

You know when you decided to take up photography, did you feel you had to know everything before you started, or did you just go for it?

See I have this stupid hinderance to trying new things out, and that is that I feel I have to know it all in order to do it well, and it really holds me back from just trying things.
