Default What is the most atrocious quality you find in others?

To me arrogance is the biggest turn off from a person, followed closely by two-facedness and jealousy.

I just never think that anyone should think of themselves as all high and mighty or holier than though. To do so shows a lack of maturity. It is also intriguing to see how the most accomplished individuals are most of the time the most humble. If you are really the hot shit that you are, people will recognize it without your help.

I dont say it as if I have never fallen victim to being arrogant, I am sure I have but I think it is really immature.

So how about you, what qualities really turn you off in another person?
Seek freedom and become captive of your desires, seek discipline and find your liberty.

"If you go looking for something in particular, your chances of finding it are very bad, because of all the things in the world, you're only looking for one of them. If you go looking for anything at all, your chances of finding it are very good, because of all the things in the world, you're sure to find some of them."

Imperceptiveness, certainly. Lack of understanding affects everything in a relationship.

I've just discovered a Theorem, in fact: If every individual in a relationship completely understands every other individual, there will be no conflict, because there will be no surprise.

I find I am hyper vigilant for lack of integrity.

Unfortunately I suffer from the tyranny of integrity.

    I tyrannise myself.

And naturally I project my tyranny onto anyone else.

    Even you.

Hypocrisy, immediately followed by judmentalism. And lastly, people who cannot appologize.

If you're gonna get on my case about something, you had best not do the same thing yourself. And tolerance gains you a lot more willingness to please you from my side than forcing me to do something ever will.

Wronging me is no problem, but be man enough to fess up and actually be sincere in your appology. I will gladly return the favor.

I try my very best to make sure I do not sin against these three myself, though it *does* occasionally happen, I'm sure

And this is exactly what many of us do.

But we don't do it deliberately.

    We do it unconsciously.

We project onto others what we can't stand in ourselves.

This is why it is important to slowly and carefully make conscious what is unconscious.

Fortunately the electronic media are conducive to revealing the unconscious.

And probably the most important thing to keep in mind is that we resist knowing what is in our unconscious.

And this is natural for it is put in the unconscious for good reason - often for social reasons.

And it is a good idea to keep an eye out for the abreaction as the unconscious bubbles to the surface - 'cause it can catch us by surprise.

    The things I project.

'most'... I'm happy with my neutral mood. I'll deceive myself a little longer.

    (self deception, then, perhaps)

-How beautiful, this pale Endymion hour.
    -What are you talking about?
-Endymion, my dear. A beautiful youth possessed by the moon.
-Well, forget about him and get to bed.
    -Yes, my dear.

Untrue. Understanding can lead to conflict.

Cruelty, without a doubt. I believe truly cruel people are rare though, so for a more common one I'd pick people who are incapable of "losing" (ie apologizing, listening, etc).
