I've never been kicked out, but I did sneak out once when I found myself in a club I didn't care for in the company of a gentleman who was becoming less interesting by the second. Unfortunately, the club had a coat check and he had the tickets. So I read the number upside down, memorized it, excused myself to the powder room and sweet-talked the attendants into retrieving my outerwear (it was winter - in Chicago).
He may still be sitting there. And no, I don't remember quite why I didn't feel it would be preferable to just say "Listen, I'm out of here."
I predicted this statement before reading the thread.
