Default Alcohol diminishes brain function and activity: Not cool.

So alcohol diminishes our abstract reasoning and planning abilities as well as the ability to monitor our own behavior in response to external feedback.

This is cool in many social settings, but besides that, what is the drug's appeal to you? I especially would like to know what other NT's think about this.

If I come home drunk, I hate it. I'm not sharp, I don't have all my creative and intellectual capacities. It's boring. There is a somewhat pleasant sloppy buzz that goes with the drug, but it's still lame.

I can only get drunk socially. Seriously I can't stand to be drunk alone, unless Im in that extreme depressive state.

I'm the exact same way. I don't mind having a glass of wine with dinner, or a small drink with family.. Unless it's a big celebration or something, I normally don't drink for the same reasons.. It's fun when everyone's in the spirit and it's all social.. but otherwise, the cons outweigh the pros for me.

I'm up to anything that will lessen my anxiety.

I've discovered intellect is overrated anyway. It hasn't really gotten me anywhere. Maybe I should try using my body.

I suppose it depends on what your goals are.

I have to admit that I had three margaritas tonight. I'm not in my right mind, or maybe I am.

I'm still a little drunk, but I'm still a good typist.
