Default The write like Victor thread

It is now Tuesday October 17th in Australia.

    Milk does a body good.

When Reality overcomes the dream, all sanity is lost in the depth.

Koala bears form cults from their tree forks.

I kissed a girl and I liked it.

    Crikey.

    (Sorry Victor, I couldn't help it )

You've missed a few key themes. Most noticeably recursiveness, odd knowledge, and the poetry of it. One of my favorite posts from Victor:

For reasons I don't understand, I get a sweet smile and a patient explanation that Calais is French.

Naturally I demur and our conversation continues over milk coffee and croissants. And we reach an agreement in principle over Calais.

But not so with Yankees, pretty or not. Naturally I demand to know what happened to Les Darcy and to Phar Lap.

All I get is a strange look as though I have lost my mind.

As I am highly suggestible, I do feel I have lost my mind. Then I think I should mention Calais, then I realise that would even be worse.

And worse still, there is no milk coffee and croissants or an agreement in principle.

And I am, as you know, a man of principle.

Yea I get the frustration with the tangential post's, but, they are interesting nonetheless. Maybe I just have an odd acceptance and appreciation of random but controlled posts. I don't see where the major frustration lies. It's a nice change of pace sometimes.

Jack, you should lighten up. Most of what I post is meant to be light-hearted.

Ehh, it was light, and it just got heavy. Drats. I know you were being light-hearted, and I know I was being light-hearted. You have misperceived my intent, as is commonly done roundabout these parts. By some.

His posting style doesn't bother me actually. I usually always get what he's saying, even if I don't always agree with it. I do like to tease though and he seems to like the attention.

You know, it probably takes Victor a couple of seconds to throw down his thoughts, but it would take me a considerable amount of time to try and do a good imitation of his style.
