    As old as the hills.

    As young as her streams.

Once I knew a girl that had aspirations to become.

We drank tea under an orange tree while she talked of Marxism.

We are all what we write.

Hear, hear! We need to see more stuff like this in the thread.

I think he tried to qualify his original statement a little, but he still meant to use the stereotype S = can't comprehend abstraction (or victor's posts) formula as a base. Just not all S's all the time.

Take me on my word you say?

But it is I that shall be asking you for your word.

Confusion is but an itch on the mind that must be scratched. Here, you can scratch it yourself.

I ask for your word, knowing you will provide the answer to yourself, and to us all.

I sit here and wait for your answer. But of course it is none of that now.

It is not up to us.

My beef is just that that's not how you communicate with people. There are more efficient ways to do that. They're great for fun, but not in the middle of targeted discussion. (If you're reading this Vic, it's nothing personal.)

Well of course he did. I forgive him, because he's cool.

This is why I don't particularly enjoy the more stylized posts. It slows down the flow of the thread and calls attention to the style itself, rather than the point. If the point of the thread was stating things in a poetic fashion, I'd be more in favor of it. But like you say, there are more efficient ways to make one's point. (I don't have a personal beef with any of our poetic posters, either. But I don't care for that style.)

What is communicated is not just words, but the voice behind the words.

Without our unique voices, we are all corporate lackeys.

All our voices would be the same.
