I'm an omnivore and eat meat- though mostly chicken and fish. I grew up on a farm and have had my hand in every step of food production- from raising the animal to killing and preparing it, and I've never really felt any qualms about it. I don't really object when I hear about animals eating people out of fairness though

I don't eat dairy, eggs or sweets though- I just don't really like them all that much.

I'm a vegetarian. I've been a vegetarian since I was 12 years old and my parents said I was allowed. It began simply because I hated the taste of meat. Gradually over the years it became more about my health. I feel way healthier as a non meat eater. I think it forces me to be more conscious about what is going into my mouth. I don't really see anything morally wrong with eating meat. Although, I do have a problem with the inhumane treatment of these animals and all the horrible hormones they're injected with. If I were to ever eat meat, personally I'd want to make sure it was from an organic local farm where the animals were treated well.

    Are you a vegetarian? No.

    Reasoning? I like meat.

    Done. Next thread.

I've been a vegatarian since I was 15. Although I started out as a vegan. Don't know why I thought that it was a good idea. But afer not knowing what I could eat, I just started eating things except meat. But I included fish, which I cut after six weeks.

Sometimes when herbivores are desperate they start to expand their diets to include insects/animals because it sure beats going hungry or starving to death. Sometimes the herbivore doesn't mind an occasional snack from the animal kingdom.
*frowns* That's not how humans define vegetarians... Eating meat only once a week is enough to be called a "meat eater". What horrid double standard people keep.

Vegetarian... and the main reason is that I can't stand the smell/taste/texture of meat.

I go through cycles. But the longest I gave up meat was about six months. I caved when chili was prepared for me. I wasn't up to creating a scene at that moment.

    I... suppose. Yeah!
