This thread is long. When you're a guy, you get used to long things.

Like long pauses after you make a "joke"?

Anything specific that you can think of that makes it awesome for you? Is there anything specific that you dislike about being male?

Hmm. Bond is actually not a bad comparison. (Anyone want to find me one of those jobs?)

-I'm/we're very good at getting women we're interested in to like us, although it may take a little while.
-Make a rule, and I will find a way around it, or will just break it in a way that you won't be able to stop me.
-I'm getting pretty good at all sorts of Free Running/Parkour type stuff. (I can jump off a roof or the like, roll and keep running. I can also propel myself over any wall under about 8 feet easily.)
-I am extremely good with any sort of weapon, or fists.....not that I use it often.
-Nothing is impossible, if I care about it enough.
-Expressing emotions in public is not a likely occurrence. And that includes pain, regardless of if it's a serious injury or not. (It took me 3 days to realize that my wrist was pretty badly broken, not just bruised/hurt/extremely painful.)
-Locks/security on anything, is just a minor inconvenience.

    For more normal "guy" stuff:

-It takes me 20 minutes from waking up to walking out the door, and that includes breakfast. If I'm taking a shower, a little less than 30 minutes.
-I can wear whatever t-shirt I pull out of the drawer and jeans every single day of the year, and it's perfectly normal.
-I am assumed to be a good driver. (I am).

I really can't think of any major disadvantages of being a guy, at least from my perspective.

Ah, self-respect has little to do with. I would gladly let a beautiful woman use me. Use need not be a bad thing. Only thinking makes it so.

Being a male is so awesome I give little thought to it. Mostly because I have no idea what it's like being anything else. I do enjoy looking around at all the civilization we are responsible for, however. But as James Brown says, this is a man's world, but it wouldn't be nothing, nothing without a woman or a girl.

What is there not to like about being a guy? We drink all we want, play games/sports, horse around and we get the sexier better looking half of our species to be our partners.
