    But GT sucked!

I sustain the position that GT only sucked during the beginning and became watchable after all that space adventure crap passed.

    /off topic.

I want to have a SH Jr. still.

Hehehe. I kinda agree but I think I would be satisfied with having people who aren't physically "part of me" but who soaked up memes from me living on after I die. I simply wasn't sure I could do justice to an adopted child and I didn't want to be like the dad in The Royal Tenenbaums who introduces one of his kids as "my adopted daughter."

I don't really want to reproduce- I suspect that I'd be a terrible parent and I'm not sure that I'd particularly want to be responsible for a kid experiencing some of the shit I've experienced in MY life

And I'm not all for most people reproducing either- like a button my sis says has- just because you CAN reproduce doesn't mean that you SHOULD. A lot of people are bad parents, they should not have children. A kid is a lot of work, moreso than a houseplant OR a dog- a lot of people shouldn't bother with having them!

However, some people are great parents, that's good- great!- it means that humanity will go on.

I'm just for a lot fewer people having children.

If I ever want kids, I'm adopting.
I can't imagine taking care of someone else's child. I don't even like pets. If I'm going through all that trouble, it's going to have my DNA.
"We grow up thinking that beliefs are something to be proud of, but they're really nothing but opinions one refuses to reconsider. Beliefs are easy. The stronger your beliefs are, the less open you are to growth and wisdom, because "strength of belief" is only the intensity with which you resist questioning yourself. As soon as you are proud of a belief, as soon as you think it adds something to who you are, then you've made it a part of your ego."

Because some people like the idea of having something that just cries, poo himself, need to be taken care of 27 hours at day, oh and also will tie you to someone forever and ever.

    I want to have dogs.

Oddly enough, this is often the case for a man. Apparently, it is some biological wiring, where if you are going to put energy and resources into a child, you want those resources to benefit your own DNA. It's like hardwired in them (I believe I saw a documentary on it a while ago). I know several of my male friends, including my own boyfriend who feel that way.

Personally, I lack a maternal instinct when it comes to babies. Kittens on the other hand... Somehow, I got my wires crossed and respond better to kittens than to babies. But, if my bioclock would ever start ticking, I too would opt for adoption

Then, you will not reproduce. Thus, there are not many people that believe such, because they have not reproduced.

I would really like to spread my DNA, simply because of megalomania, but I don't think I'd have a problem with a second adopted child.
