Theory: Men that dance are showing off their prowess, and women like that.

(That is, dancing is connected deeply to mating with females, but has a negative effect of judgment for men.)

It's just fun and it can make you feel connected with a big group of people, like when you're all packed into a room and jumping up and down in time with eachother
Where you used to be, there is a hole in the world, which I find myself constantly walking around in the daytime, and falling into at night. I miss you like hell. ~Edna St. Vincent Millay

You can flirt and show off your goods without automatically being deemed a slut.

They also like it when you drive fast around curves, thus endangering her and others.

Nope, not that stupid - many guys use it to great effect. I've had plenty of success with females by being this stupid, mind you, but I'll leave it up to you to determine if it's because I'm right and make good use of it, or because of any inherent traits.

Dancing is among the top ways to improve marketability (well, plumage versions of it, anyway, which is strangely appropriate considering how much dancing relates to the "bird dance" mating routine, heh.)
