I also appreciated your examples of non-stereotypical Sness. Then again, I do aspire to Se-ness and have an aspiration to actually aspire to Si-ness.

Thanks, Jeffster, I'm interested that you feel the opposite way. I suspect it may just be me feeling kind of protective about my ability to choose to use either Se or Ni at will.

I certainly don't think I'm speaking for all SPs here, so I'm glad you said something. To each his/her own.

The whole point of MBTI for me is to give me better insights in to my natural strengths so that I can wield them more effectively. Secondly, to help me better understand my natural weaknesses so that I can look for those strengths in other people. It relieves me of having to be good at something I'm not while at the same time valuing those strengths in others. For instance, in a group I would actively seek out Sarah to shore up my S and my F. (Does this make me an ENTJ???). This strategy has been very helpful in helping me to become more balanced.

My view: you don't get a pass on being an a**hole because of your MBTI type and if you think your MBTI type gives you that pass, then you don't get MBTI.

The good thing is, even when the MBTI test is long dead, we will all still bleed red

Insight Game

That's yet another site which implies that N's are the only ones with creativity, imagination, and new ideas.

Also, the cartoon part makes all SJs out to be greedy meanies.

And according to their test, I'm an ENFP.

Yep - and I love to brainstorm. I also love to use new methods for accomplishing a goal.

another point: maybe you could say that from an S perspective, many Ns are too eager to throw away the established thinking when "improving" on something thus shortcharging everyone, including themselves, from the inherent value of accumulated past experiences in that field
