This is branching off the "Nonsocial ENFPs" thread.
ENFPs are considered by some the most introverted of the extroverts. Introverted Feeling seems to be partially responsible. ESFPs also have Fi as their auxiliary function. So, here's my question to ESFPs and those who know ESFPs: Are you nonsocial? Do you ever find yourself shying away from small talk, meeting new people, and non-stop partying? Any and all responses are greatly appreciated.

I've heard that Ne also makes people seem somewhat introverted. Even though it's 'extroverted perception,' it's still internalizing information to make connections.
Se, I guess, wouldn't be like that. Then again, you never know until you ask...

I have a very good friend who's ESFP and she's always up for a party. She chats with everyone, runs late because she can't stop talking, loves to go out to coffee or meals with friends, makes large dinners for them, etc. She's a Waldorf teacher who eats lunch with her kids. She loves meeting new people and is overall a very social person.

bah misread!!1.....
EDIT: I don't think ESFPs have problems dealing and coping with their feelings that an ENFP might have. An ENFP needs thick skin, but I see ESFP as being better grounded in RATIONAL extraversion

You lost me. What is this "rational extroversion?"
and while we're at it, what is this "internalization" of extraverted perception? Ne is not processed/internalized; its contents are, by Fi. What I mean is, I don't think Ne is that deep... OK, I guess I'm saying it's not introverted. BLEHHH!!! *squish* <---my brain |

Now that you ask, I really don't know. I'll reflect on it a bit, but basically what I think I mean is not letting the grotesqueries(sp) of the social world wound you emotionally, leading some social settings to be aversive stimulii

Hmmmmm, rational as in not colored by introverted feeling? In strict Jungian terms: not colored by our rational function (see what I did there? woot!).
...but that's not what makes ENFPs (ok, just me) withdraw. Or at least, it's not the primary reason. Bad people are a pain in the ass, and probably piss us off more than most, but it's not like I have to hide in my igloo to escape the evil in the world... nevertheless, my intuition sees a grain of truth in that. Maybe I'll reflect on it as well... EDIT: I'm totally being off topic as well... ![]() So, to bring it back (loosely), why the hell would Se be more resiliant against Fi's intrusions? Is Se-fueled Fi a different brand altogether? Does the content that it processes affect the process itself? What is the meaning of life? ...K, I'm done. |
