I Know some of you are Science Fiction readers. I know I am, and I have read some crazy crazy things, human quantum computers, nanorobot/human symbiots, permeant sunscreen that changes your skin pigmentation, Sentiant noosphere (still having trouble with that one) and my personal nomination for Craziest bit of technology, a living uber-tree Dyson Sphere (a mass that completelty encloses a sun) with trunks the diameter of Jupiter and leaves as large as North America. I makes Larry Nivens Ring World look like a tinkertoy set. It was in Dan Simmons Rise Of Endymion.
So what is the craziest technology thing you have read about in SF?
