I thought I'd create a thread for people who know little about technology to ask things of people who know a lot, I'm happy to share my expertise elsewhere on the forum were its asked for.

I'll kick it off.

I got a new piece of anti-virus lately, bit defender, and since them sometimes when I put in a DVD it doesnt run automatically like it did and I get notifications that new hardware is being scanned, sometimes then the DVD will run other times it wont, I'm not sure how to get my laptop to run DVDs from the windows media player which it usually plays in. Do you think my anti-virus is preventing my laptop from playing DVDs?
