It is perhaps the most whimsically brilliant thing I've ever heard of. I bet @Saturned has one.

Sounds like a nightmare for people like me who struggle to get up in the morning.

But I suppose you'll never sleep through the alarm.

How does the clock know where to hide itself?

What I love even more is the prototype, when it was covered in carpet:

Kind of cute. It's not as cut win its current form.
Masquerading as a normal person day after day is exhausting.

The funniest part was I read this post from my alarm clock phone while still hiding in bed.

I don't have that clock... and it sounds rather alarming (ahahaha) to not be able to find when one is freezing their feet off and wanting desperately to stay in their warm coccoon burrito bed with flannel sheets and soft blankets oh my.

I'd have one of these just because it's cute. I don't have a problem waking up to an alarm. I usually beat it by 5 minutes if I know I have to get up (damn you, accurate body clock!!)

It just rolls away and avoids obstacles, presumably at random. It doesn't know where it is going, but it would still be 'hiding' because you won't know where it went, since you were asleep. It's a really fun idea, actually.

I always wanted an alarm clock that had a laser shooter gun, and you had to get up and shoot the targets to turn it off. Maybe with heroic and sudden music.

Those work well if you like waking up with a heart attack o.o

I used to have one. Something about the noise made it a terrifying way to wake up. I'd have to peel myself off the ceiling when it went off.
