Sounds like a nightmare for people like me who struggle to get up in the morning.

But I suppose you'll never sleep through the alarm. :D

How does the clock know where to hide itself?

What I love even more is the prototype, when it was covered in carpet:

Kind of cute. It's not as cut win its current form.

It is perhaps the most whimsically brilliant thing I've ever heard of. I bet Saturned has one. :D

The funniest part was I read this post from my alarm clock phone while still hiding in bed.

I don't have that clock... and it sounds rather alarming (ahahaha) to not be able to find when one is freezing their feet off and wanting desperately to stay in their warm coccoon burrito bed with flannel sheets and soft blankets oh my.

I'd have one of these just because it's cute. I don't have a problem waking up to an alarm. I usually beat it by 5 minutes if I know I have to get up (damn you, accurate body clock!!)

How does the clock know where to hide itself?
It just rolls away and avoids obstacles, presumably at random. It doesn't know where it is going, but it would still be 'hiding' because you won't know where it went, since you were asleep. It's a really fun idea, actually.

I always wanted an alarm clock that had a laser shooter gun, and you had to get up and shoot the targets to turn it off. Maybe with heroic and sudden music.

Those work well if you like waking up with a heart attack o.o

I used to have one. Something about the noise made it a terrifying way to wake up. I'd have to peel myself off the ceiling when it went off.

 Yeah, I get that a lot. I actually find this a relaxing way to wake up, but that's comparing it to being woken up by crazy people screaming at me (which was my other option for many years).

Radios drive me nuts, it's too loud, bad music, annoying DJ's.. and that clocky.. ohh don't get me started.. that thing wouldn't last a day. I'd find it and have my revenge, and that'd be the end of that.

That's probably why I learned to wake up before the alarm. It was like a mad dash to preemptively silence that infernal device before it gave me even more gray hairs.

Bio clock is best clock..

Too bad I need to go to bed on time for it to work because otherwise I know when I need to get up but my entire being is saying "I don't care... I don't care... fuck everything, I don't care..."

But actually my cat is my alarm clock now. He yells at me at 6 am like some kind of cat rooster. o.o
