I'm gonna do the same test at the new apt in CA to compare. I'll come back & edit this/add those results soon.

F minus? Really? I'm amused such a grade even exists.. reminds me of a teacher I had in 3rd grade who notoriously marked up math tests with a thick red marker. And not only would you get a low grade, tons of Xs & circles.. she'd top it off with a frowny-face, adding insult to injury. F minus, indeed, ha.

It doesn't seem that bad to me at all.. I wouldn't complain anyway too much anyway- ya get what you pay for.

wtf space-age crap are other people using..

I wanted to get 500 up and down but apparantly they could not deliver that to my address.

Still, this is pretty decent and allows me to run game servers and such without issues. :p

I'd run a speed test but the hamsters that run my computer and are in the SAME union as my ISP are currently on strike over working conditions. I type this from a neighbors computer :/

We recently switched to Charter for our internet service. This test was run on my desktop pc, which is in the basement in my room (one floor beneath where the router is, and a few rooms away) with a new high-gain wifi receiver I bought that gets me much better signal than the usb stick I was using before. The upload speed and ping stay pretty consistent, and the download speed might get down to 15-20 Mb/s during peak load times. I've seen it go as high as 40 Mb/s sometimes.

I'm torn between concealing my general location and flaunting my relatively fast internet.

...so you'll have to take my word for it. With wifi 33 down, 5.5 up
