Well, I really don't want to fill the void of the Apple defender now. After all I prefer using my selfmade Desktop PC all the time, and I told already I would probably not buy a Macbook again. However, the choice of really good notebooks is not that varied. Apple Macbook may be overall expensive for the components you get, however the things I mentioned you really just don't find in a lot of notebooks currently. And it doesn't matter depending on what things you do with it if you have now a better GPU for example for the same price but the battery life is only half as long for example. You get notebooks with same or better performance for quite cheap price, but you tend to have other disadvantages.
Is it not in such great shape? What OS are you running?
It's doing exactly what it is made to do and we just don't like it as much as we like PCs. I don't hate it or anything, it's got some strong points. I've never seen a PC hold battery life as well as a macbook.
It's kid-glove-y and moody, is what it is. PCs treat you like adults.
