    Yet to be peer reviewed...

    But in the absence of evidence of the Higgs Boson, physics is still ripe for new discoveries in my opinion.

    I've read it, and it does sound interesting. But there's this thing called statistics, which requires big sample size for the results to be strong. High energy particle physics is a mix of collisions and data mining.

    It's a particle accelerator, which moves subatomic particles to almost light-speed, and then they collide, giving rise to new particles. The LHC is a larger one, which allows protons to acquire kinetic energy of about 7TeV each [at the moment, these protons get about 3TeV].
