It's cool they've got this far. I want more pictures :).

I saw they said this in the article,

"Visible light poses a greater challenge because its short wavelength means the metamaterial atoms have to be very small."

Interesting. I always thought the fact visible light is a spectrum rather than single wavelength might have been the major hurdle in creating a convincing "invisibility" suit. I'm not sure how you control chromatic aberration with something like that. Suppose they look at each hurdle as they get to it. For now they can shine red lasers through themselves :).
