In my casual pursuit of a permanent magnet motor I stumbled across this. It seems legit, a horizontally rotating magnetic vortex field or something.

this is pretty crazy actually, if you just attach a rod to harness the rotational force of the ring you can spin an alternator or electrical generator with it, until the magnetic vortex field runs out, approximately 300 years!!!!
